Civilization 6 is releasing the New Frontier Pass, which will release new leaders and new civilizations, as well as new game modes and scenarios. A lot of classic civilizations from the past games have made a return to Civilization 6, including Rome, France, and England to name a few. Of particular interest are the leaders, who are no longer the usual historical figures players would typically expect to see.

A new German leader, a new Roman leader, and two new English leaders can be found in Civilization 6. With the promise of new civilizations and leaders, fans are excited to see who will be added to the game.

10 Want: Hiawatha and the Iroquois

Hiawatha is the leader of the Iroquois who used his persuasion skills to bring 5 tribes together and form the Iroquois Confederacy. In the Civilization series, the Iroquois only appear in two games - Civilization III and Civilization V. With the inclusion of many more Native American tribes in Civilization 6, adding the Iroquois again would be a welcome addition.

With the inclusion of Hiawatha and the Iroquois, new scenarios can come along, too. Such scenarios can include when Europeans came to colonize America, the French and Indian War, and the American Revolution.

9 Not Want: Elizabeth

Elizabeth is the queen of England in every Civilization game up until Civilization 6. This is a welcomed change, as there are so many other monarchs of England that could be included in the game. Queen Victoria is a great change from the incredibly overused Elizabeth, and practically any other available English leader would continue this welcome trend.

8 Want: Boudicca

Boudicca was the leader of the Celts who led attacks on Roman cities and soldiers. Boudicca and the Celtic civilization would be a great addition, adding a history-rich civilization to play as.

With the inclusion of Robert the Bruce and Scotland in Civilization 6, it would be a nice change of pace to see countries of the British Isles before they fell under the United Kingdom flag. This warrior queen would also offer a unique civilization leader, too.

7 Not Want: Joseph Stalin

Joseph Stalin was a leader of Russia in Civilization IV. It seems like Stalin would not fit in with the other leaders that are already included in Civilization 6. Stalin is best known as the dictator of the Soviet Union, and was responsible for many deaths. While some of the other leaders are no angels, they did not have a reputation as dour as Stalin's.

With the history of the Soviet Union and the way history looks at Stalin, it would probably be best to avoid this infamous leader.

6 Want: Catherine of Russia

Catherine came to power in Russia after she deposed her husband, Tsar Peter III. During her rule, she expanded the Russian Empire's holdings and power. Even though she is featured as a leader in pretty much every Civilization game, she is iconic enough that she should be added as a leader.

Including Catherine will balance out the leaders of Russia, having one male choice and one female choice. Players will be able to choose between two important figures in Russian history.

5 Not Want: Any Papal States

Vatican City is a city-state, but it is also technically a country. In history, the Pope ruled an area called the Papal States, which could feasibly be used as a civilization. Leaders for this civilization could include the Borgia Pope, but ideally, this civilization wouldn't be playable.

While Vatican City was just added in the Maya & Gran Columbia Pack, any future update could change this into a civilization if the developers so chose to. This is likely to never happen, and hopefully, it won't. There are simply too many other more interesting civilizations that could be added in its place.

4 Want: George Washington

When thinking of America, George Washington might be one of the first leaders to come to mind. He has a state named after him, a few cities, and a giant monument to him in the capital. Teddy Roosevelt is already the leader in Civilization 6, and Washington would be a perfect second choice. Who better to lead the country than the man who helped found it?

3 Not Want: Bismarck

Bismarck is the leader of Germany in every Civilization game. He is important in unifying and founding the German Empire, but there are other German leaders from history that could be included. Civilization 6 including Frederick Barbarossa as a leader was a step in the right direction.

There are many historic figures that could be included as another leader of Germany, such as the many Holy Roman Emperors throughout history.

2 Want: Harald Bluetooth

Civilization 6 includes the Viking leader Harald Hardrada as the king of Norway, so including Harald Bluetooth would fit into the theme of Norse countries. Harald was the leader of Denmark in Civilization V, so including him in the New Frontier Pass would also add the civilization of Denmark.

It would also be nice to go on Viking raiding parties for two civilizations. When playing multiplayer, a massive army of Vikings from the two nations would be able to burn and pillage anything in their path.

1 Not Want: Isabella of Castile

Isabella is the leader of the Spanish civilization in every game of the series. Civilization 6 replaced her with King Phillip II, adding to the tradition of using new leaders for the civilizations. While she has been the leader of Spain for all of the games, it would be nice to get a new leader to freshen things up.

If they choose to add a new leader, Isabella has run her course. While she did have incredible historical significance in Spain, including her husband, Ferdinand, or Charles V as a new leader would keep the tradition of new leaders for civilizations alive.
