Settling near a Natural Wonder in Civilization 6 can be a huge boon thanks to the powerful bonuses that many of them provide. However, not every Natural Wonder in Civ 6 is a knockout, and some are downright bad. Delineating where all of these unique terrain features fall on that spectrum is exactly the purpose of this Civilization 6 Natural Wonder tier list, and players can use at as a guide when trying to decide if they should rush to settle a city by one.

To note, this Civilization 6 Natural Wonder tier list attempts to consider many factors beyond simply the specific bonuses tied to each of these special terrain features. For instance, Natural Wonders that appear in Desert regions (the Delicate Arch, Eye of the Sahara, Sahara el Beyda, and Uluru) have been ranked quite low due to this type of terrain being less than ideal for settlement. Things do change a bit if a player is utilizing John Curtin of Australia as their Civ 6 leader, but generally Desert Natural Wonders are not highly-desirable.

Additionally, Natural Wonders that are Volcanoes, a designation made by the Gathering Storm expansion, have been bumped down slightly due to the possibility that they will erupt. Those are Eyjafjallajokull, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Vesuvius, and while they are not relegated to the realm of the Desert Natural Wonders, it does mean that they do not find themselves in the very highest tiers.

Finally, Natural Wonders that place their bonuses on wonder tiles, which cannot be improved or have Civ 6's Districts placed upon them, take a slight hit when compared to those that have their bonuses on adjacent tiles. That said, the Great Barrier Reef and Ha Long Bay are both in the top tiers while also putting their bonuses on wonder tiles, which should speak to the high power level of these two Civ 6 Natural Wonders.

With all of this established, here is the Civ 6 Natural Wonder tier list, and a video below it goes in-depth on the rankings:
