Owners of Civilization 6's New Frontier Pass are set to receive a brand new DLC pack, the Ethiopia Pack, at some point later this month. Currently, all that is known about this forthcoming pack is that it will contain one new civilization and leader, one new game mode, one new District, and two new Buildings. However, that is about to change, as Firaxis Games has just confirmed when details about Civ 6's Ethiopia Pack will be revealed.

Specifically, fans will learn more about Civilization 6's Ethiopia Pack next Monday, July 13. Exactly what information will be revealed on that date is currently not confirmed, but if the developer takes an approach that is similar to what was used with the Maya and Gran Colombia Pack then players can expect a fairly comprehensive look at the new civ and leader. It is also possible that Firaxis will announce the Ethiopia Pack's release date on Monday as well, and that would be something that many fans would certainly appreciate.

With respect to what that release date might be, Thursday, July 23 is perhaps the most likely option considering Firaxis's history, though a launch on July 16 is not completely out of the question. Whatever the case may be, it would be reasonable to anticipate a developer live stream on the day of Ethiopia's release, which would be a good opportunity for Civilization 6 players to get an even more extensive look at the civ before they start their first games with it.

Once the Ethiopia Pack has been fully detailed and released the question will then become how does Firaxis plan to reveal information about the remaining packs in the New Frontier Pass. While there are general details about the contents of these four packs available, including confirmation that some will contain new World Wonders, they have not yet been named, and it will be interesting to see how the developer addresses that moving forward.

Without question, the New Frontier Pass is a great way for players to spend even more time with this acclaimed strategy game, and it is very exciting to know that more information on Ethiopia is right around the corner. Hopefully Firaxis continues to be communicative about forthcoming announcements and updates, keeping the playerbase engaged through this year-long content drop.

Civilization 6 is available for iOS, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
