One gaming fan has decided to take their impressive video game collection and build a Christmas tree out of it. The video is making the rounds on TikTok and fellow gamers are simultaneously amused and impressed by the effort.
While most people have activities keeping them busy around this time of the year, gamers get a lot of special treats around the holiday season. Numerous games celebrate Christmas and other holidays in December and winter, offering in-game bonuses, events, and decorations to marvel at. However, many players also enjoy combining their hobby with the holiday for themselves, back in the real world.
One such gamer and TikToker is thescarlettegamer, who posted her time-lapse creation on the video sharing platform. Setting up next to a series of bookshelves holding numerous video games, she begins stacking them down in a circle around herself, building the base of the Christmas tree as Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas is You plays in the background. At a certain height, she steps out and continues the build, finally capping it off with a plush of Crash Bandicoot in place of a star or angel. All in all, thescarlettegamer reports the build took about 23 minutes for her to complete.
Fans in the comments seem to be pleased by the effort, with many outwardly expressing how impressed they are by the sheer size of thescarlettegamer's gaming collection, though some noted that green gaming cases might have looked better than the PlayStation blue game cases. Others were amused by the placement of Crash Bandicoot at the top of the tree. Some commenters were a bit more practical, worrying about the concept of having to put all of the games back where they belong. Thescarlettegamer thought of this advance, though, and says that the games were mostly set down in the order they were drawn from, so setting them back into alphabetical order hopefully wasn't too much trouble.

However, others look to their favorite video game influences to build unique gaming trees, like a recent Buster Sword Christmas tree that was shared online.
