With so many different Chrises prevalent in the acting world, it’s very easy to get lost and confused as to which one is actually being referred to. To make matters worse, the Chrises all stem from the Marvel universe as well, making it even more ironic. Trying to decipher each individual Chris is like playing a game of guess who, leaving the fans increasingly more baffled. Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Chris Pratt are the trio MCU fans know best, but only two of them are set to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder.

All of the Chrises seem to be very aware of how much the fans often struggle to distinguish one from the other. Knowing this, Hemsworth played a little practical joke and had some fun with the many alter egos that the three actors share amongst one another. The perfect opportunity to prank the fans and his fellow co-star was Evans' 40th birthday. A person's 40th birthday is a monumental milestone, and both Hemsworth and Pratt wanted to send Evans their best wishes in the most unforgettable way.

Hemsworth took to Instagram, where he shared a selfie of Pratt and himself on the set of Thor: Love and Thunder. The caption reads, “Happy 40th birthday Chris Evans, you’ll always be number 1 in my book.” Fans seemed to have a good laugh in the comments, and some even pointed out yet another Chris who seems to be missing in this picture - Chris Pine, star of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman films. Amy Berg, a famous TV writer, even tweeted out a photo of all four Chrises last year with the caption, “One has to go.”

However, despite all of the birthday trolling, fans are looking into the details of the picture that Hemsworth shared despite the hilarious presence of Pratt. Both Hemsworth and Pratt are set to be returning to their roles of Thor and Star-Lord, respectively, once again in Love and Thunder. In the photo, Pratt also seems to be in costume already, with his signature dark red suit on. The love amongst the Chrises is quite evident, and fans seem to be feeling the strong bond between them as well.

Hemsworth told Variety in an interview, “With Chris Evans, I have a real brotherly bond. I think they wouldn’t pair us up on this press tour, because we just spend the whole time screwing around and none of it is on topic.” The teasing nature of Hemsworth wishing Evans a happy birthday is further solidified with his post. Although Evans has been tagged, he has still not replied in the comments as of yet.

Fans are excited to see what adventures Thor and Star-Lord will embark on in Love and Thunder, but those hoping to see Evans rejoin the MCU are out of luck. Evans has already shot down rumors suggesting he was planning to return as Captain America in future MCU projects.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on February 11th, 2022.
