When six-year-old Bridger Walker sprung into action to save his little sister from a vicious dog, his thought was, "If someone had to die, I thought it should be me." Thankfully, the young boy survived and saved his sister with his quick thinking, and now he's being appreciated for his actions.

Walker made the news for his heroic feat after the story and photos of the boy's significantly injured face following the attack surfaced on the web. As it turns out, he's a fan of Marvel's Captain America, and when Chris Evans found out, he took it upon himself to reach out to Walker.

Chris Evans recorded a brief video for Walker, commending him for his actions and declaring him brave and selfless. However, what he did next most likely surprised the child the most: Chris Evans has promised that an authentic Captain America shield will be delivered to the boy. Walker even dressed up as Captain America while watching Evans' message, so chances are the recording was thrilling for him.

Fans of Marvel and The Avengers will likely be happy to see the video, and that Evans is still willing to embrace the role of The First Avenger when it's called for. While Captain America passed on his legendary shield in Avengers: Endgame, and Evans has retired from the role, it's clear that the character and his actor are still having a positive influence on people.
