A gamer has created an AI similar to the viral ChatGPT AI, but this version is specifically created to give video game recommendations to gamers who are on the fence about purchasing new titles. Although the bot is still in its early stages, the tool inspired by ChatGPT could prove to be quite useful for indecisive gamers who are looking to try new games.

With the rise in interest in artificial intelligence, ChatGPT is currently the leading example when it comes to AI bots. Thanks to the incredibly complex technology behind the AI, people have managed to build impressive things with ChatGPT in a very short amount of time compared to the months and years it could originally take without the assistance of the AI bot. From building playable video games to helping with homework questions, many are using the AI's extraordinary capabilities to their advantage. Since ChatGPT has become so useful and valued by many, it was only a matter of time before other people started to create their own versions as a way to help others.

A Reddit user aptly named MadRedditScientist shared a preview of their new AI bot creation to the r/gaming subreddit. The AI bot that is inspired by ChatGPT uses the data of over one-hundred-thousand posts and comments from the subreddit r/ShouldIbuythisgame. Many have been using ChatGPT for gaming, but this specific bot inspired by the AI has the potential to become a very useful tool. The user simply asks the bot in a search bar if a specific game is worth buying and is then given an answer based on the data from the aforementioned subreddit.

Although this bot is impressive, MadRedditScientist admits that their creation isn't perfect just yet. Some of the limitations of the bot they listed were sometimes giving outdated information, occasionally making things up, and generating the answers can be slow. Despite these issues, MadRedditScientist is confident that these problems can be fixed by giving the bot more data to work from. With people from many walks of life using ChatGPT for assistance, it makes perfect sense for someone to be inspired to attempt to make a similar bot specifically for gaming.

Even though this bot would be a great tool, MadRedditScientist has made it clear it's just an experiment for right now, but it serves as a great example of what AI can bring to gaming in the future. Whether someone is welcoming of AI or wary of the technology, there's no doubt that it will become a huge part of the future, and it's interesting to see the potential it harnesses when it comes to making life easier, even in simpler aspects like trying to choose a game.
