Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the latest release in the Super Smash Bros. franchise and has definitely had players all over the world glued to their Nintendo Switch as they battle against each other online and play through the World of Light mode. Even though there are a ton of iconic video game characters that can be played in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we can't lie and pretend that we're not still anxiously awaiting more characters to be announced and released as DLC.

There's no real way of knowing what Nintendo is going to announce in the future, but there are definitely a lot of characters that players are hoping to see added to the game as time goes on. While we have no idea who they'll be adding, we do have some characters that we're hoping to see join the fight.

To see 10 characters we want to see in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, keep reading!

10 10. Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil)

Leon S. Kennedy is one of the central characters from the Resident Evil franchise. He made his first appearance in Resident Evil 2 back in 1998 where he's introduced as a rookie cop on the Raccoon City Police Department. After showing up late to his first day on the force, Leon is met with quite a surprise: a zombie outbreak has taken over. Uh oh!

Leon has faced off against zombies in multiple games over the years, most recently in the Resident Evil 2 remake that was released in 2019, meaning that he has some serious experience in fighting. He could be given a really unique set of moves for Super Smash Bros. and Resident Evil games have been released on Nintendo consoles in the past, so this might not be a stretch.

9 9. Cuphead And Mugman (Cuphead)

Cuphead is an indie game that was released in 2017 and has really caught the attention of video game fans that are looking for a challenge. The game has either one or two players control characters named Cuphead and his brother, Mugman. Cuphead and Mugman are animated characters designed to look like anthropomorphic mugs that battle their way through challenging boss fights in this 1930s-inspired world.

Anyone who has played Cuphead will know how challenging this game can be and will know that Cuphead and Mugman are definitely no strangers to a tough fight. Because of this, they'd be the perfect candidate for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and could be added as a pair of fighters like Ice Climbers.

8 8. Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes)

Travis Touchdown is the main character in the fighting game series No More Heroes. In the game, Travis is the world's 11th best assassin as ranked by a fictional group known as the UAA. After Travis learns about being #11 in the world, he decides to set out to take out everyone below him so that he can be the top assassin in the world.

Having beat the 10 assassins that were ranked higher than him, it's obvious that Travis Touchdown definitely isn't a stranger to battling against other people. With his unique weapon and moves, Travis would be the perfect addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

7 7. Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)

Lara Croft is definitely a staple in the video game world. She's been in several games in the Tomb Raider franchise, spin-off games, and has appeared as the main character in the movie adaptations of this game series. She made her first video game appearance in the very first Tomb Raider game back in 1996 and has definitely come a long way since then.

This archaeologist has become a huge figure in the world of video games and her skills in climbing and battling against enemies have really shown time and time again that she's definitely a powerful force. Who better to be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to battle against other iconic faces in video game history?

6 6. Linkle (Hyrule Warriors)

Linkle is a Hylian warrior that appears in Hyrule Warriors. She believes that she's a legendary hero reincarnated and really gets to show her strength as the hero she believes herself to be after she learns that Hyrule Castle is in danger. She sets out with her dual crossbows to help save her people.

Super Smash Bros. already has quite an assortment of different characters from The Legend of Zelda, Zelda, Sheik, and three of Link. Although some other players are hoping to see Toon Zelda or Tetra added into the game, we think adding Linkle would be a lot more fun. She's already proven herself to be quite a fighter in Hyrule Warriors!

5 5. Spider-Man (Marvel's Spider-Man)

Spider-Man is a masked supehero that made his first appearance in a comic book back in the 1960s. Today, there are so many different movies, comics, TV shows, and even video games that feature Spider-Man himself in some form. In 2018, Spider-Man was released on the PlayStation 4 and had everyone slinging webs and trying to save Manhattan.

Even though we know that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was just released and features several different Spider-Verse characters, meaning that we likely won't see Spider-Man in Super Smash Bros. any time soon, we can still dream. Spider-Man's web would definitely give him some unique moves!

4 4. Crash Bandicoot (Crash Bandicoot)

Crash Bandicoot is a game franchise that started back in 1996 when the first game was released. Its most recent release was in 2019 when Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was released, two years after the remastered version of the first three games in the franchise came out. They're a series of platforming games in which the player controls Crash as he runs through he levels, collects items, and tries to defeat Doctor Neo Cortex.

But who said Doctor Neo Cortex is the only person that Crash Bandicoot can take on? Considering his long history in the world of video games, he would be the perfect addition to Super Smash Bros. Crash is fast and could definitely have a unique set of moves in the game!

3 3. Twintelle (Arms)

Twintelle is one of the fighters featured in the super unique Nintendo Switch game Arms. In this game, the characters have long, springy arms that they use to battle against on another. Twintelle is one of the more unique characters in Arms because instead of using her arms to fight, she actually sues her long, twisting hair!

Considering Twintelle is known for having such a unique method of fighting, the fact that she wasn't brought to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate already is a surprise! Arms is already a unique fighting game and adding Twintelle's weaponized hair into the mix makes her an even more unique fighter and one that would do well in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

2 2. Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)

Jill Valentine is one of the central characters in the Resident Evil franchise. Her first appearance in the series was back in 1996 in the very first game in the series, Resident Evil, and she has since appeared in multiple games in the series. Along with appearing in Resident Evil games, she's also appeared in other crossover fighting games like Marvel vs. Capcom.

Considering Jill has already made an appearance in one crossover fighting game, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to have her appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Plus, the options for what version of Jill to use could be pretty interesting for the developers. Use original Resident Evil Jill, the BSAA agent or Resident Evil 5 Jill in her battle suit and blonde hair?

1 1. Urbosa (Breath of the Wild)

Urbosa is a Gerudo Champion who appears in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and is the Champion that controls the Divine Beast Vah Naboris. Completing Vah Naboris and defeating Thunderblight Ganon gives the player access to Urbosa's special power, Urbosa's Fury.

Being one of the Champions of Hyrule in Breath of the Wild definitely goes to show just how powerful Urbosa is. She would be an excellent addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate because of her unique powers and her strength. Plus, she could either be added as a fighter herself or the developers could add her into the game in a similar way to Pokémon Trainer and have her stand on the sidelines while she controls Vah Naboris.
