Denji, Aki, and Power are the main team the Chainsaw Man series focuses on most of the time. Denji, being the protagonist, of course, takes center stage but still manages to make a ton of new friends (and enemies) along his difficult journey. It'd be impossible for every devil, fiend, and hunter to get their time to shine and show off their strengths and weaknesses without the series dragging on for forever.

The Chainsaw Man series features handfuls of interesting supporting characters that audiences find themselves attached to despite their brief appearances. After playing their part in the overarching story, many of these characters seemingly fade into the background for the sake of the main cast. Here are some Chainsaw Man side characters audiences wish they got to see more of.

Disclaimer: Major spoilers ahead!

7 Kishibe

Chainsaw Man Kishibe

Public Safety Devil Hunter, Kishibe, is the one to thank for Denji's strength and skill on the battlefield. Originally from the Tokyo Special Division 1, Kishibe eventually became the captain of the Tokyo Special Division 4 where he then took on the role of Denji and Power's personal trainer.

It's clear that Kishibe is an old dog that still knows a ton of new tricks and is the typical "badass elder" that the starry-eyed protagonist looks up to. Having years and years of devil hunting under his belt, it's no doubt that the stories Kishibe could tell would make for incredible arcs or spinoffs on their own.

Kishibe does have his fair share of screen time, but it's still such a shame audiences didn't get to see more of him when he was off the clock. Hopefully, fans will see more of him in the future!

6 Quanxi

Chainsaw Man Quanxi

Years ago, Quanxi and Kishibe met as young Devil Hunters who often trained and worked together; she later was known as a "First Devil Hunter". After her many years in the hunting field with Kishibe, she eventually retired and moved to China where she then fell in love with her colorful harem of Fiends.

She was introduced to the story after the Chinese military tasked her with the job of capturing the elusive Chainsaw Man. After her defeat at the hands of Makima, she was then essentially brainwashed to join Makima's Tokyo Special Divison 5.

Quanxi didn't get many opportunities to speak or elaborate more about her past, nor did she even have the freedom to simply be herself once she returned as part of Makima's squad. The mysterious Devil Hunter and her quirky harem would have certainly won fans over had they gotten the chance!

5 Reze

Chainsaw Man Reze

Reze did get her time to shine during her arc with Denji, but most of what audiences witnessed was not the true Reze. During her time with Denji, her one goal throughout their entire relationship was to seduce him and completely win his heart.

She was competing with Makima in the battle for Denji's heart so, of course, Reze needed to amp up the flirty and affectionate behavior to ensure her victory. During her entire arc with Denji, she never got to show off her true colors, even for a bit. The mysterious Bomb Devil, a.k.a. the Soviet Union's Lady Reze, left audiences with tons of unanswered questions; about her motives, her past, her genuine personality, and her true feelings towards the naive Denji.

4 Angel

Chainsaw Man Angel

Angel, despite his name, is still a devil, the Angel Devil. Angel embodies the fear of angels and worked alongside Aki after joining the Tokyo Special Division 4 as a fellow Public Safety Devil Hunter. Angel, as his name implies, isn't a fan of fighting and would rather give into his laziness and sit on the sidelines with an ice cream cone while his teammates do the dirty work.

Angel's most interesting arc involves his quiet disgust with humans; not having any real aggressive hostility but still believing that all humans deserve to die painful deaths. Eventually, his stance on humans as a whole changes as he realizes how kind a human (Aki) can be.

Little about Angel's previous life is explored and the small glimpse we see into his memories and supposed ex-lover is cut short by Makima's intervention.

Here's to hoping Angel will reincarnate soon to reunite with Denji once again later down the road.

3 Beam

Chainsaw Man Beam

Beam is the high-energy, charismatic Shark Fiend that is another member of the Tokyo Special Division 4 and is Chainsaw Man's number one fan. Denji sometimes feels a bit lonely when he feels as if no one is on his side at times, but he can always depend on Beam to have his back.

Beam is usually seen running around and aiding his "Lord Chainsaw" in any way he can; either in his fiend form or full devil form (where he completely transforms into a giant shark). Beam loves to battle and is always eager to jump in and fight, even in cases he's a bit scared or unsure about his abilities. Beam was a fun character that always managed to lighten the mood, and it was a shame to see him go before audiences got to learn more about him and why he loves Denji so much.

2 Hirofumi Yoshida

Chainsaw Man Hirofumi Yoshida

Yoshida is the suave Private Devil Hunter that has a contract with the powerful Octopus Devil. Yoshida is rather mysterious as he's often secretive about who he works under and is only really known as a high-class bodyguard specialist.

After a small run-in with Denji, Yoshida did eventually return later in the series after Makima's arc; still taking the role of bodyguard for Denji. So far, Yoshida has gotten his fair share of screen time, but audiences still don't know a lot about him. He hasn't been able to show off his true self, for all audiences know, the Yoshida fans have seen up until this point has been an act (just like Reze) for the sake of his job. For now, it seems as if Yoshida is planning on sticking around for Denji's sake (and safety), so hopefully, fans will learn more about Yoshida and his true identity.

1 Galgali

Chainsaw Man Galgali Violence

Galgali is better known as the Violence Fiend and is much friendlier than most people would think! Violence is another member of the Tokyo Special Division 4 that only resorts to battle if it is the only option left. He attributes his peace-loving, friendly attitude and polite manner to maintaining most of his human brain.

Although Violence looks a bit intimidating with his signature plague mask on, he's actually much scarier without it on. Without Violence's plague mask, he reveals his spiky black hair and four completely white eyes. Under his usual hoodie and uniform, Violence is very buff and muscular, just as one would imagine the Violence Devil would be. Violence's friendship with Kobeni was a well-deserved wholesome break from the gore and dark mood of the rest of the series, and fans can only hope that he reincarnates to reunite with Denji again soon.
