The Chainsaw Man manga has earned quite a reputation among manga fans in recent years. The manga's first part ended in December 2020, and an anime has been announced for later this year. Now official sources have confirmed the popular horror comedy's manga will return soon for a second part, reportedly called Gakkō-hen, or the School Arc in English.Chainsaw Man tells the story of Denji, who is forced into a life of killing devils to pay off his debts to the yakuza. To do this, he utilizes a pet devil of his own named Pochita. However, after a deal is struck between the devils and the yakuza Denji is murdered by a devil. His faithful pet Pochita fuses into Denji to save him, subsequently granting him Denji's chainsaw-themed abilities. After seeing his abilities, he is offered a job at the Public Safety Bureau to take down the very devils he has fought for so long.RELATED: Kakegurui Twin Anime Announced for Netflix: What Do Fans Need To Know?

The anime will debut during the Fall 2022 season, however, the exact date has yet to be confirmed. The trailer has already received over 17 million views in anticipation of its release and has been confirmed to be animated by MAPPA Studios, who are best known for titles such as Attack on Titan: Final Season, Banana Fish, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

The official Twitter account for Shounen Jump+ has confirmed that part two of the manga will start serializing on July 13th, and even have a link to the first five chapters of Chainsaw Man available for free, as well as the last three chapters, if you can read Japanese. You can however find links through the official English website for the same chapters through MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA.

Little is known about what will happen in part two, other than it being called the School Arc. It can be assumed it will be continued from where the previous part left off, however, other manga titles such as Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Attack on Titan have featured time skips in-between parts, so it cannot be said for sure.

Reportedly, the author of the manga Tatsuki Fujimoto is co-writing a one-shot manga with Oto Tōda, who is known as the author and artist for To Strip The Flesh, and the one-shot will be titled Listen to Me Normally on July 4th, 2020. Fujimoto has another 200-page one-shot book releasing on the same day titled Goodbye, Eri.
