Chained Echoes was one of the last new game releases of 2022, but it was also one of the most critically-acclaimed games of last year as well. Chained Echoes earned near-universal acclaim at the time of its release, with many hailing it as one of the best turn-based RPGs in years.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Chained Echoes takes inspiration from SNES-era JRPGs, but mixes in modern conveniences, quality-of-life features, and mature storytelling to create an especially engaging RPG experience. After downloading this update, completionists playing Chained Echoes on PS4 should find that the issue has been resolved.
Unfortunately, the Xbox version of Chained Echoes, available to play through an Xbox Game Pass subscription, has yet to receive the update as of the time of this writing on January 3. Hopefully, Chained Echoes players on Xbox don't have to wait too much longer to download the update, especially if they are one of the individuals that have found themselves trapped at the waterfall screen. In the meantime, those who have yet to play Chained Echoes for themselves should feel safe to do so without having to worry about running into quite as many bugs and technical problems.
