Joanna Bennett, Brie Larson's stunt double on Captain Marvel, shared an incredible fight concepts video for Captain Marvel 2 on Instagram and both she and the video kick total ass. Though it looks rough in comparison to a finished film, it's still a really impressive feat.

The clip shows Joanna Bennett taking on a group of "criminals", in reality her fellow stuntmen, using a combination of perfectly executed flip kicks and energy blasts topped off with some Zack Snyder-esque slow-mo. Speaking of Zack Snyder, a quick search through Joanna's other Instagram posts will turn up her being made up as the DCEU's Wonder Woman as well.

No need to worry about spoilers. Though elements from the fight may find their way into the final cut of  Captain Marvel 2, it's highly unlikely this exact sequence will end up in the movie. What this video does is show what a battle scene in a Captain Marvel movie would look like. A lot of blockbuster movies shoot some proof-of-concept footage to not only get a handle on a particularly complex sequence but to see if that concept works on screen. Edgar Wright has included a lot of concept footage as extras on the DVD and blu ray releases of his films. The World's End in particular shows how one early battle came together with stunt performers wearing numbers to make sure the action is clear.

In the meantime, Captain Marvel 2 is slated to release in 2022. No details are known besides Brie Larson returning as Carol Danvers with a script by Megan McDonnell, staff writer on the upcoming Disney+ series Wandavision. Marvel recently confirmed Captain Marvel 2 will be directed by Nia Decosta, fresh from the Jordan Peele produced Candyman reboot. If the fight concepts are anything to go by then Captain Marvel 2 could really be something special.
