WandaVision gave Marvel fans plenty of new and unexpected ideas to chew on. For those who might not have been bit Marvel fans to begin with, it offered some pitch-perfect homages to classic sitcoms from across the decades. For others, it introduced the idea of just how weird a story can be while still somehow making sense. But perhaps one of its most important contributions was the establishment of the newly superpowered Monica Rambeau as a big player in The Marvels.

So it should come as little surprise that fans quickly flocked to the character, who was so expertly played by Teyonah Parris (after Akira Akbar played a younger version in Captain Marvel). Not only did she quickly become a favorite among viewers, but she helped set the stage for the MCU's future as well, which will include her next appearance in the upcoming sequel The Marvels. Not keen to wait until 2023 for that particular film to come out, one artist decided to design a full super suit for the fledgling hero, and it's definitely got the look.

Marvel fan and Photoshop artist m.design34 offered up their own take on what sort of outfit Monica might wear when she makes her triumphant return, taking some clear inspiration from actress and activist Brie Larson's own iconic costume from Captain Marvel. Recoloring the classic red and blue threads into a sleek silver look, the artist added a few finishing touches by way of some glowing eyes for Parris herself. If nothing else, she absolutely has the vibe of a real superhero.

This isn't the first time m.design34 has created a hypothetical design for some upcoming projects. In fact, as great as it looks, it's probably far tamer than some of their previous works. In particular, a series of hilarious works (along with casting suggestions) for new obscure villains to appear in James Gunn's next The Suicide Squad movie deserves some special attention if only for the spectacularly deep cuts it brings up.

This work featuring Parris as Monica just serves to heighten excitement for the still rather far off Captain Marvel sequel. Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel herself established herself as easily one of the most powerful beings in the known universe, so the idea of teaming her up with a bunch of other similarly-abled heroes is sure to turn into one heck of a spectacle. Of course, it probably won't be that simple, but even so, the possibilities are enticing to think about. At the very least, it's a good response to the ongoing trolling of Captain Marvel as a character.

Hopefully, The Marvels won't suffer any big delays between now and its projected 2023 release. Granted, hope and a quarter will just give somebody 25 cents, so maybe it'll be better to keep expectations tempered a bit. But either way, there are bound to be many more wonderful works of speculative art like this one.

The Marvels is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.
