As promised, today’s Inside Xbox presentation has been generous with news of third-party games coming to the Xbox Series X and Xbox One in the near future. Amid all of these reveals, a new indie game was announced, a first-person adventure puzzle game titled Call of the Sea.

The first trailer, revealed during the presentation, confirmed that the game is in the works at developer Out of the Blue and Raw Fury, the publisher of popular indie games like Bad North and Kingdom: Two Crowns. In the process, it confirmed that it will be coming to the XSX and Xbox One, and will also be available on Xbox Games Pass.

As for the game itself, Call of the Sea will take place in the 1930s and let players experience the story of Norah, a woman on the trail of her missing husband’s expedition on a strange but beautiful South Pacific island. From the trailer, it looks like players will undergo an adventure full of mystery and self-discovery while they explore the island and uncover its secrets, one that should definitely appeal to fans of more atmospheric first-person adventure games.

If not, though, Raw Fury has plenty of other games for indie fans to look forward to this year. These include the western-themed rogue-lite shooter West of Dead and the combat-free open-world adventure game Sable.

Call of the Sea has no release date but will be released for Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
