Veterans of Call of Duty's Zombies mode know that the maps are filled with secrets and hidden items. In Call of Duty: WW2's Nazi Zombies mode, players can find a powerful sword on The Final Reich map that is capable of doing one-hit kills on even the highest rounds, but actually obtaining it is no easy task.

Before players can find the Red Talon sword in Call of Duty: WW2, there are some prerequisite steps they must complete. We recommend that players thoroughly familiarize themselves with The Final Reich map before attempting to get the sword, as they will have to complete a number of complex Easter Egg objectives to get their hands on it.

Below players will find a step-by-step explanation on how to get the Red Talon sword in Call of Duty: WW2's Nazi Zombies mode. However, for those that would prefer a video guide, we recommend the one put together by YouTuber TheRealMasonB:

The first step to getting the sword in Call of Duty: WW2's Nazi Zombies mode is building the Tesla Gun, which is a matter of completing the early Easter Egg steps. The quick version of this is getting into the Command Room, switching on the power in the Morgue and Laboratory, powering the hilt in the Emperor's Chamber, and escorting the Transfer Device. For a more detailed description of how to do this, refer to our Tesla Gun guide.

Once players have a Tesla Gun in tow, they will need to upgrade it. While some people think players need to acquire all four Tesla Gun upgrades, only one upgraded Tesla Gun is needed. At any rate, upgrading the Tesla Gun is a bit of a complicated process, involving obscure Easter Egg steps and using traps to kill specific zombies.

There are four different upgrades players can pursue, but we feel the easiest one to get is the Midnight Upgrade. For more information on how to get the Tesla Gun upgrades, check out our Tesla Gun upgrade guide.

Once the Tesla Gun has been fully upgraded, players will want to progress the casual Easter Egg to its second-to-last step. Instead of shooting the large, glowing orange orb to initiate the final boss fight, return to the Laboratory and Morgue and flip their power switches again. Then flip a switch in the Command Room to reveal some coils. Shoot an upgraded Tesla Gun at the coils to make two safes appear right in the entrances of the Morgue and Laboratory, on the left wall.

Find a Brenner head (which drop from dead flamethrower zombies) and shine the light on the safe's dials. The light will reveal numbers that have glowing purple thumbprints on them, so turn the dials until they are all purple. Doing this successfully will pop open the safe door, revealing an item inside. Grab the item and then progress to the next round. Repeat the process with the other safe to get another item.

When that's done, head back to the Emperor's Chamber and check the low wall immediately in front of the statue. There is a space here to place the two items that players just collected, creating a sort of coin. Turn the coin and the wall will open, automatically equipping the player with the Red Talon sword. Anyone on the team that wants the sword simply needs to go to this area and grab one. And with that, Nazi Zombies players will be equipped with one of the most powerful weapons in the game.
