The latest update for Call of Duty: WW2 brought forth the St. Patrick’s Day event, otherwise known as Operation: Shamrock and Awe. This update provides fans of the first-person shooter with a St. Patrick’s Day-themed Headquarters, uniform variants, camos, charms, weapons, and more from now until April 3. Furthermore, it seems that the PC version of the game accidentally received something that was not yet meant to be in the game.

Before it was swiftly removed via hotfix, PC gamers were able to see something called a “Throwback Playlist” in Call of Duty: WW2. This playlist features perks from previous Call of Duty installments, namely Danger Close, Commando Pro, Double Tap, Martyrdom, Stun X3, Stopping Power, and Juggernaut. While it is disappointing to see these perks removed from the game, this accidental addition suggests that it will be formally added to the game at some point in the future.

After all, the inclusion of these perks in Call of Duty: WW2 seems like it would be a popular move, as they are fan-favorite perks. Recently, Sledgehammer Games also permanently added Gun Game and Prop Hunt to the game, both of which are popular multiplayer modes. It shows that Sledgehammer is listening to its fanbase, so it would be no surprise to see these perks in-game soon.

Fans of this playlist, it seems, would like the combination of throwback perks with World War 2 weapons. For example, Stopping Power increases the damage of primary or secondary weapons by 40%, so if combined with the FG42, it would most likely be a 2-hit kill. These throwback perks would seemingly change the meta-game of Call of Duty: WW2 in a good way.

In the meantime, however, the St. Patrick’s Day event is going strong. While waiting for the throwback perks to be actual additions to the game, players can enjoy hunting a leprechaun zombie in the new Leprechaun Hunt Most Pit mode. The current event and upcoming additions to Call of Duty: WW2 seem like plenty of reasons for anyone who has stopped playing the game to resume.

Call of Duty: WW2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
