Just several days ago, in a bid to keep players coming back for more in Call of Duty: WW2, Sledgehammer Games officially announced the permanent inclusion of fan-favorite modes Gun Game and Prop Hunt. Now, it looks like the developer is set to give fans of the first-person shooter even more action in the near future, as the studio teased a potential St. Patrick's Day-related event coming to the title.

As seen in the tweet below from the official Twitter account associated with Call of Duty: WW2, Captain Butcher of the game's Headquarters mode can be seen in a dynamic image wearing what appears to be a uniform related to St. Patrick's Day, as four-leaf clovers rain down all around him. What's more is that the text underneath the GIF reads, "Good luck is hard to come by, soldier," which looks to be an indication of an event coming that's related to the annual cultural and religious celebration.

While Activision and Sledgehammer Games failed to offer much else in the way of concrete information in regards to the above tweet, with St. Patrick's Day occurring later this week on March 17, 2018, fans should expect the companies to provide more details in the coming days. Until then, though, players will at least have the first-person shooter's Resistance DLC to keep them busy across its PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.

Taking all of this into consideration, a St. Patrick's Day-themed event wouldn't be completely out of the ordinary for Call of Duty: WW2, especially since Modern Warfare Remastered held an event for the holiday in 2017. Additionally, with St. Patrick's Day occurring on a Saturday this year, many fans will be given the chance to enjoy whatever Activision and Sledgehammer Games may have planned without having to limit their gameplay time due to a standard workday following the potential event.

Call of Duty: WW2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
