Call of Duty: WW2 is taking the venerable FPS franchise back to what originally drew players in, and lots of longtime fans are very, very excited. Now, Activision has announced a partnership that will be of interest to anyone that's really feeling the hype for this year's installment.

Activision is teaming up with Loot Crate to provide a limited edition crate themed around Call of Duty: WW2 to celebrate the game's release. It's set to ship in December, just in time for the holidays, and just after the FPS hits shelves.

This isn't the first time that the two companies have put their heads together to produce something special for fans of the FPS franchise. In 2015, just around the time that Loot Crate was launching its Loot Gaming sister service, the brand offered up a Black Ops 3 themed crate to mark that game's release.

There's currently no confirmation as to exactly what kind of loot will be included — that's part of the fun of this kind of service, after all. However, Loot Crate did drop a few hints about what kind of thing fans can expect from the package.

Working closely with Activision, the company has sourced apparel, gear, and other collectibles that are all themed around Call of Duty: WW2. Best of all, this is stuff that fans won't be able to get anywhere else.

"We are thrilled to develop this exclusive Call of Duty: WW2 Limited Edition Crate with Activision and can’t wait to share it with all the fans excited about Call of Duty returning to its roots," said Chris Davis, the CEO of Loot Crate. Pre-orders on the crate are open now — it's priced at $49.99, but apparently contains over $90 worth of products.

Call of Duty: WW2 releases November 3, 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
