Right now and until April 3, Call of Duty: WW2 will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day with its Operation: Shamrock & Awe multiplayer event. Shamrock & Awe is giving players the chance to unlock a ton of new cosmetic items and weapons, but it also added a new game mode called Leprechaun Hunt Mosh Pit. And as its name implies, Leprechaun Hunt Mosh Pit allows players to hunt a leprechaun. A zombie leprechaun, to be exact.

The Leprechaun Hunt Mosh Pit in Call of Duty: WW2 lets players battle it out in a rotation of standard game modes, like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed. However, the twist is that each round has a leprechaun zombie running around the map for a limited time. If players are lucky enough to kill the creature, they will be rewarded by having access to all of their killstreaks instantly.

The addition of a zombie leprechaun to Call of Duty: WW2 should spice up multiplayer matches a bit, and anyone interested in it should be sure to play by April 3. Unlike other game modes that were originally added as part of limited-time events, like Gun Game and Prop Hunt, it's unlikely that Leprechaun Hunt Mosh Pit will become a permanent part of the Call of Duty: WW2 multiplayer experience.

For one, Leprechaun Hunt is really just a twist on existing game modes like Team Deathmatch and Domination, as opposed to being a completely standalone mode itself. Secondly, it is themed after St. Patrick's Day, and once the Shamrock & Awe event wraps up, the Leprechaun Hunt loses context.

In the meantime, fans have from now until April 3 to try out the Leprechaun Hunt for themselves, as well as unlock the new weapons that have been added as part of the Shamrock & Awe event.

Call of Duty: WW2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
