Although Headquarters have been looking a little empty as of late, Call of Duty: WW2 should now be fully operational again, thanks to a fix from Sledgehammer Games. The social area where players can interact with other soldiers, challenge themselves in the firing range, and open loot boxes in front of an audience, was initially on the receiving end of some pretty substantial server issues but now Call of Duty fans will finally be able to see each other on the beaches of Normandy.

After the game's launch, fans were reporting empty areas where no other players had spawned, something that defeats the point of Call of Duty: WW2's new social space. Thankfully, these issues seem to now have finally been resolved, as players on Twitter begin to upload pictures of their newly-populated Headquarters.

Now that Headquarters are finally working as intended once more, all Call of Duty: WW2 players will be able to complete in-game tasks such as commending other players, or watching loot box openings, features that were pretty difficult when running around the social space alone. Sledgehammer Games' dedicated servers should now be mostly operational, but players may still encounter the occasional empty area from time to time.

Despite the launch issues, Call of Duty: WW2 has had little trouble securing excellent reviews, with many seeing the game as a return to form for the long-running franchise. The shooter, which takes gamers back to the trenches of the Second World War, boasts a gripping story, polished multiplayer action, and the best attempt at a zombies game mode we've seen from the franchise in recent years.

Now that players are finally beginning to get the hang of Call of Duty's newest zombies mode, we've put together a guide on unlocking all the secret survivors for fans who are wanting to make the most out of their WW2 experience. Each of the six characters requires a substantial amount of effort to unlock, but knowing what to do will prove to be a major help when it comes to 100% completing the game mode.

Call of Duty: WW2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
