Developer Sledgehammer Games has introduced a new incentive to encourage potential Call of Duty: WW2 players to pick up the game sooner rather than later. Those who play COD:WW2's multiplayer before November 17 will get access to a few little extra bonuses to help them in online play.

The Pathfinder Pack is one of those bonuses and is free to any player as soon as they enter the Call of Duty: WW2 online multiplayer. The pack includes a unique Sledgehammer Games helmet, a Calling Card sporting the game's release date, and some more useful bonuses that will benefit players in more than just a cosmetic fashion.

Those more beneficial rewards include a Bonus Weapon XP token and a Bonus Division XP that will help players unlock new weapons, perks, and other modifiers faster. In addition, the Pathfinder Pack includes three Supply Drops, leading to some rather extravagant loot box openings and a range of new cosmetic items. The pack is essentially a starter kit that gives players a general idea of the cosmetic items available in the game, while also giving them ways to level up faster than the average player would.

With only a little over a week left to claim the Pathfinder Pack, those who haven't grabbed their copy of Call of Duty: WW2 might be more incentivized to do so, but the free bonus content is unlikely to sell any of the more skeptical players. The loot box system has been met with plenty of raised eyebrows, but a chance to see them first hand could help assuage any major concerns about them being pay-to-win.

Skepticism aside, Call of Duty: WW2 reviews suggest the new game might be the best entry in the long-running franchise that we've seen in a long time. Now that the game has been out for a few days, reports of the title's length have started to appear online and it seems that COD:WW2 has more than enough content to keep players busy. Aside from the well-honed multiplayer experience, the game offers a significant campaign length alongside a new take on the popular Zombies game mode, which promises hours of entertainment for fans everywhere.

Call of Duty: WW2 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
