Although many of those itching to play Call of Duty: WW2 will be doing so for the multiplayer content, the picture of the game’s single player campaign certainly seems to be an impressive one so far. Now, gamers have a chance to catch up a little on the cast of this single player mode, courtesy of a new set of teaser trailers focused on different characters from the campaign.

These new Call of Duty: WW2 trailers will no doubt prove to be a vital glimpse for those aiming to check out the campaign. The first of the bunch focuses on Ronald ‘Red’ Daniels, who will act as the main character of the single player campaign. Hinting at a tragic backstory and with family waiting for him back home, Red’s fight in Call of Duty: WW2 could be important in more ways than one.

It’s not just the main character who was focused on as part of this series of trailers, however. Alongside Red, the trailers also focus on supporting character and best friend Robert Zussman, the squad leader William Pierson, and finally the squad’s lieutenant, Joseph Turner. The first of these trailers, for Red himself, can be seen below, with the others available at the end this article.

So far, the campaign for the title is looking to be a powerful one for fans more used to diving head-first into the multiplayer part of the game. A new Call of Duty: WW2 story trailer was released yesterday, for instance, showcasing a little of what players will be experiencing when the game launches in November. In particular, Call of Duty: WW2 will take players to some of the most important battles of the war, including the Normandy landings.

Indeed, developer Sledgehammer Games certainly seems to be taking something of a more atmospheric approach to proceedings with Call of Duty: WW2. According to the game’s senior creative director Bret Robbins, Call of Duty: WW2 was inspired by so-called walking simulators such as Gone Home and Firewatch, with both games gaining huge acclaim for their treatment of storytelling.

Of course, there’s more to a Call of Duty game than simply the story, and already console players have been able to check out the multiplayer gameplay thanks to a beta. Thankfully, it won’t be long before PC players get in on the action, either, as Sledgehammer Games has now confirmed the Call of Duty: WW2 PC beta dates. Hopefully, the game is able to impress across the board, through campaign, Zombies mode, and multiplayer.
