Call of Duty: Warzone is set to change forever as zombies slowly make their way across the map. This new threat has been dragging on for several weeks, but Verdansk is at serious risk of being overrun by the undead menace. Despite Call of Duty: Warzone only reporting a 5% contamination rate, a new developer update points towards an intense future.

Despite fan criticism, Call of Duty: Warzone is pursuing an apocalyptic zombie storyline. This unique outbreak-style experience is destined to destroy Verdansk and enter it into a new age. In true Call of Duty fashion, the developers have released emails and a package to content creators with an interesting teaser and a perplexing message for fans to decipher.

In a video by YouTuber Inkslasher, the Call of Duty: Warzone teaser is showcased and broken down. The package he opens contains a strange message that reads, "Clean up on aisle four Bring more than a mop. The place for killer deals. Their latest customers shop long after they drop." Fans believe that this hints at the super shopping center located within Verdansk, which means the Call of Duty: Warzone zombies at the TV station will be moving to a new location. While this follows the standard formula for the game's teaser content, the image also held a secret that seemed like a formal announcement for the game's future.

The message reads, "Just declared containment protocol beware sudden aggression and signs of necrosis among friendlies. No matter the threat, BCH4 will keep you informed through all." This suggests that the zombies are becoming more aggressive and possibly evolving, and it prompts that Call of Duty: Warzone's BCH4 TV station will be the main source of information.

To make the message even more interesting, the same image clearly has a 33% containment symbol hidden in the background, which is a major increase from the 5% reported in the current update. The zombies may be gaining extra features as they take on characteristics from the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Zombies game mode. If the undead menace is truly evolving, then the battle royale community may have a larger threat looming on the horizon. There are tons of undead that many battle royale fans would struggle to deal with, and it is not impossible that they could appear within Verdansk.

While this is a teaser for a future update, it is unclear exactly how rapid this new containment will become. As players continue to use the zombies for access to the new Call of Duty: Warzone killstreaks, the invasion seems to be a persisting problem. This has many fans turning towards the obvious conclusion and waiting for nuclear devastation to rewrite Warzone's history.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
