Call of Duty: Warzone is making quick progress toward the nuke event, as Zombies have continued to spread beyond the Shipwreck over the past few weeks. According to a new teaser, the latest Zombies location within Call of Duty: Warzone is going to be Verdansk’s bank.
While the undead first arrived via the shipwreck point of interest, they quickly moved to the Gulag after the Outbreak event came to an end. While players expected them to head up to Farmland next, as it would have been the logical place for the infection to spread to next, Raven Software threw a curveball at players. As a result, the Zombies next appeared in the hospital location, confirming that no area on Call of Duty: Warzone’s map is safe from this growing Zombies pandemic.
The latest teaser tied to these Zombies is much like the others. Thus far, Activision has sent content creators streamer swag that contains an obvious clue as to what the next Zombies location will be. A prison uniform and hospital scrubs came first, and now CharlieIntel has shown off a piggy bank. Branded with the bank's logo, the teaser only becomes more obvious with the attached card. A fun little teaser confirming the next part of the Zombies’ movement pattern, fans can expect to see the walking corpses arrive in the next few days.
As for where the Zombies will go next, clearly no area is off limits. As such, it may not be long before the undead are seen within the Military Base or the Quarry. They could also be seen in the Hills location, as it would be a bit of fun to see the hordes populating the smaller houses of the cul-de-sacs. Lastly, the Zombies may tie-in to the melting Verdansk dam, possibly having something to do with the area that is slowly being revealed. For now, though, it remains to be seen where they will go after this bank update.
Ultimately, this spread of Zombies is building up to the undead taking over the entirety of Verdansk. Once they have, players will be able to access the leaked Plague game mode. In this PvE mode, Call of Duty: Warzone fans will have the objective of clearing out various zones — likely including the Verdansk bank, Hospital, and Gulag. According to the leaked voice lines, failure will lead to the map being nuked, with players needing to rush to an exfil zone as they fight through the AI enemies.
With this event supposedly not happening until April, though, players can expect more areas to be overrun by Zombies in the coming weeks. For now, though, players should prepare for a fight whenever they enter the map’s bank.
