Normally, Call of Duty: Warzone players will find nothing out of ordinary as they drop from the sky and into the map. However, while this is one of the most bug-free portions of a Call of Duty: Warzone match, one player has found a small but weird issue tied to free-falling.

This is hardly the only weird glitch that has been discovered inside of Call of Duty: Warzone as of late, however. Recently, players have been dealing with a Combat Bow bug that turns them into giants. With it removing their gun and breaking their FOV for about twenty seconds, this issue is troublesome and can lead to an unfair death. Fortunately, the bug related to dropping in has no negative impact on the match, as players can experience normal gameplay as soon as they have landed.

Still, while this new Call of Duty: Warzone issue is not game-breaking by any means, it is certainly still interesting. Posted to Reddit by acoolrocket, the bug in question happens while they are switching weapons. Specifically, it occurs as they swap between a Riot Shield and Kali Sticks, so those looking to avoid or replicate the process know what to do. Once they come near the end of their fall, the player’s hands come up before they pull their chute. However, for some reason, acoolrocket has a third hand.

As for why this bug occurred, it likely has something to do with how rapidly the player was switching between weapons. The weapons themselves also likely played a role, as Call of Duty: Warzone’s Kali Sticks see the Operators holding one in each hand. The third hand could have been for the Riot Shield, and with the player switching between the two melee items at the exact time that the falling animation started, this would make sense of the bug. Still, it is purely speculation, as there could have been some other cause.

Regardless, those hoping that the third arm would stick around are out of luck. It does not appear once the player has landed, with the extra appendage only ever shown during the free-fall animation. Still, the moment is strange, and the brief clip is worth a watch for anyone that is curious about what an extra arm would look like in Call of Duty: Warzone. With The Numbers event’s exclusive Sai Melee weapon also being dual wield, perhaps players using it will see a similar thing happen as they are landing in Verdansk.

With this bug not causing any legitimate problems, it will be interesting to see if developer Raven Software bothers to address it. Not only is it a brief and rare glitch, but it is entertaining to see a third arm show up completely out of nowhere.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
