Call of Duty: Warzone fans have been patiently waiting for the game’s new update, and today, Raven Software made it available to download. The developer also provided thorough patch notes for Call of Duty: Warzone fans, sharing details for why each big change was made.

This new format has proven to be extremely popular with fans, as Call of Duty: Warzone players praised Raven for taking the approach with the game’s previous patch. After every weapon, Raven provides a paragraph full of detail as to why the specific gun was nerfed or buffed, giving the community insight into where the game will be going next. In this specific update, the most noticeable change comes right at the beginning of the patch notes, as it sees the topic of the Streetsweeper shotgun addressed.

Raven teased Streetsweeper changes last week, responding directly to a tweet from professional player JoeWo. In the tweet, the gamer asked for the weapon to be removed from the ground loot pool. It seems like Raven took this advice to heart, as it has taken every rarity of the Streetsweeper out of this lineup — forcing fans of the gun to equip it in loadouts. In its place, fans will now find that the Hauer is able to be looted. Alongside this change, the Streetsweeper’s hip spread and recoil were increased. Its ADS speed was also lowered slightly, as the gun was “a tad too effective” and rewarded “passive play.”

Alongside the requested changes to the Streetsweeper, the CR-56 AMAX was also nerfed slightly. While loadouts like the Stun Launcher will still work fine, they will be more in line with the damage done by other Assault Rifles. Specifically, minimum damage has been decreased from 32 to 31, with the gun’s maximum damage going untouched. The FARA 83 also received a slight nerf, with the head shot multiplier lowered from 1.5 to 1.35. Its move speed while aiming also took a hit, dropping down by 7%.

The final gun changes came for the Bullfrog and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s new PPSh-41. In the case of the Bullfrog, the gun’s maximum damage has dropped from 34 to 32. However, its damage range was buffed by 11%, with base move speed increased by 1% and sprint out speed raised by 13%. This results in a change that can be viewed as a buff overall. As for the PPSh-41, the weapon was granted a 4% range increase as well as a huge 80% open bolt delay decrease. Essentially, the gun will now fire its initial shot quicker, with Raven wanting to continue pushing “SMGs in different and interesting directions.”

Various attachment changes were made in the patch as well, making it primarily weapon focused. While some powerhouses like the Grau went untouched, this update is likely to be received very well by fans.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
