It's a big week for Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard players as the mid-season Reloaded update is finally here. The update makes a ton of major changes to the game, including overhauling the Rebirth Island map. Several points of interest on the smaller island map have been altered including the lesser used security area which has been renamed to Stronghold. A new Docks area has been added to the map, which bring with it ships that have docked and contain valuable loot for players to fight over.

In addition to Rebirth Island, the Season 2 Reloaded update brings a new multiplayer game mode called Arms Race, new vehicles, as well as a health increase for Warzone players. In terms of new operators, players can also pick up the final member of Task Force Yeti with Gustavo Dos Santos. Activision calls him a close quarters specialist, this operator seems to favor the Season 2 Reloaded new weapon called Armaguerra 43.

Following both Season 2 Reloaded updates to Call of Duty: Warzone as well as Vanguard, players now have access to this unique SMG. However, there are a few different ways to unlock it, some easier, while others may present a lengthier challenge even though it's completely free. Here's everything players need to know.

How to Unlock the Armaguerra 43

Ultimately, Call of Duty players will have three different ways to unlock the Armaguerra 43 SMG.

For those who don't want to spend money, they'll need to earn 10 hip-fire kills in a single match 15 times. Naturally, smaller maps like Shipment or Das Haus will make this much easier, though outside of special playlists devoted to those maps, players have no way to really force these maps to appear. Alternatively, Warzone players can try and unlock this through Plunder due to constant respawns, as a traditional Battle Royale match would make this challenge much harder and longer to complete.

The weapon can also be unlocked through the Zombies mode, for players who would prefer that. Simply use SMG weapons like the Welgun to kill 400 enemies that have been frozen by the player's Frost Blast.

The final method to unlock the Armaguerra 43 is the easiest and most straightforward. Following the Season 2 Reloaded update, players can purchase the weapon's blueprint from the newly added In-Store Bundle.

What's Unique about the Armaguerra 43

As described in the blog prior to the Call of Duty Vanguard Season 2 Reloaded update, the Armaguerra 43 Submachine Gun comes with the fastest fire rate in its category. While the weapon also sports better than average range for fast-firing weapons, it does have a few drawbacks to balance things out a bit.

Namely, the Armaguerra 43 has high recoil and low damage output, which will likely force players to add attachments to lessen this downside. Thankfully, the weapon has access to a variety of attachments, meaning players will have a lot of options to better customize the gun to their play style, though certain combinations seem to have already made the weapon to be extremely powerful.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
