Call of Duty: Warzone players have called out several integration-related issues since Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons were added, and the latest is tied to time-to-kill (TTK). According to Call of Duty: Warzone fans, TTK has become far too brief after the integration, with many wanting it to go back to how it used to be.

Balancing time-to-kill inside a Call of Duty game is always a tough task, though it is integral to making a game play well. After all, TTK being too quick rewards camping and makes every fight based purely on reaction time. On the other hand, an overly long TTK is just as troublesome, as gun battles can drag on for long periods of time and feel unfair. With Call of Duty: Warzone’s armor only complicating matters, this balancing act becomes tougher — though players feel like it is starting to become a legitimate issue with the game.

Call of Duty: Warzone fan IIIumarIII made a lengthy Reddit post detailing the issues with TTK, citing the post-integration version of the game being full of “annoying” scenarios. The player cites the MP5 as being the only dangerous weapon in terms of TTK pre-integration, adding that the gun was only overpowered at close ranges as well. However, the player cites the prevalent use of the MAC-10 as a key issue, as the weapon “blows the MP5 out of the water.” According to IIIumarIII, the FFAR is even more powerful.

IIIumarIII is far from the only player to claim that the FFAR is a broken weapon, as the gun has dominated inside of Call of Duty: Warzone for several weeks now. While professional player NICKMERCS has stated in a recent video that he believes the FFAR will eventually be nerfed, this process could take some time, and this slow change could result in the Assault Rifle having a reign of terror that is on par with the DMR 14. With the gun having more range than the MP5 but the same TTK, this player’s complaints are understandable.

According to this Call of Duty: Warzone fan, there have been several instances where they have died “without even having time to react.” Citing more weapons that the game’s community considers to be overpowered, such as the AUG Tactical Rifle, several comments on the post show players agreeing on the game’s current issues. Most players seem to believe that the current TTK is fine for Call of Duty multiplayer, but fully unenjoyable within a battle royale game.

It remains to be seen how Raven Software will address these complaints. With previous nerfs being reverted for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons, though, it seems like it could be a while before the right balance is found.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
