As Call of Duty: Warzone continues its regression into the '80s, a slew of famous movie characters have been teased by both official and unofficial sources. In the latest example, a notorious Call of Duty: Warzone leaker hinted at perhaps the most famous action icon of the '80s joining the game.

Tom Henderson, known for his reliable information surrounding the Battlefield and Call of Duty franchises, took to Twitter and with one simple post revealed his prediction for the newest character to join Call of Duty: Warzone. The post in question was a link to the Main Theme of The Terminator soundtrack, suggesting that the T-800 could be headed to Warzone as a playable character.

As one of Schwarzenegger's best '80s filmsTerminator seems like a no-brainer to throw into the mix. The tease by Henderson also comes on the heels of more-or-less official confirmation by Call of Duty's official Twitter about the inclusion of '80s action heroes John Rambo from First Blood and John McClane from Die Hard. If these three are confirmed for Warzone, the '80s theme would be off to an incredible start, as these characters essentially comprise the podium of the most famous action heroes of the 1980s.

While the Terminator franchise has always maintained its popularity with fans, there has been a recent uptick in Terminator-related developments that make the leak seem even more probable. The year started off with rumors of a Terminator anime being developed for Netflix, which was subsequently followed by the release of Terminator Resistance: Enhanced, a PS5 port of the 2019 FPS. With the '80s classic constantly reaffirming its longevity, it's not a stretch to think that Activision would put in a great deal of effort to secure the franchise for Warzone.

While there are a host of other movies to choose from, it seems unlikely that fans would get multiple skins of characters that are played by the same actor. So while Schwarzenegger may have played a whole arsenal of classic characters during the '80s, it seems improbable that fans will get skins like Conan the Barbarian, John Matrix from Commando, or Dutch from Predator, at least during the initial release. It's more likely the case that if more skins are to be teased they will come from other classic movies like RobocopMad Max, or even the Indiana Jones series—all massive hits during the decade in their own right.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
