The next big Call of Duty: Warzone change will be coming through the sixth and likely final season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare content updates. On September 29th, players will be able to use subway tunnels around the map, with eagle-eyed fans narrowing down exactly where the Warzone tunnels will be located.

In the final shot of the Modern Warfare Season 6 trailer, an overhead view of Verdansk is shown that indicates where exactly players can go to search for the subway tunnel entrances when the update arrives. The tunnel system highlighted in the trailer is massive, stretching from the Verdansk airport to the Stadium in a massive underground circle. While the subway area does not lead to areas such as the prison or dam, it still covers most of the map.

Players can lead new operators Farah and Nikolai from one subway station to another, greatly diversifying the gameplay of the mode. What loot is found underground is currently unconfirmed, as is the quality of money drops for the Plunder game mode. Still, the subway system should make final circles far more interesting, with players likely able to hold out in the station at the end of the game. Labeled A-G, the marked stations are found below some of Warzone’s hotspots.

Station A will be found below Warzone's popular airport destination, with station B being placed under Karst River Quarry. Station C will be found over the recently opened Stadium area, with Station D being located under the heavily populated Downtown area. Stations E and F will be found at the Promenade District and Train Station respectively, with the final subway station being found at the Torsk Bloc.

Call of Duty Season 6 September 29

Knowing the subway station locations of Verdansk ahead of their official release should prove advantageous for Warzone fans. Beyond that, the subway stations could be a perfect fit for a long-rumored mode coming to Warzone. The heavily rumored Warzone Zombies mode was all but confirmed due to some new voice clip leaks, and an underground setting seems perfect for such a mode. After all, the darkly lit tunnels shown in the cinematic trailer for Season 6 could prove truly terrifying within a large-scale Zombies mode.

This new mode could be Treyarch’s way of adding their own unique touch to Warzone. Given that a leaker recently shared that Warzone in Black Ops Cold War would be the same as it is in Modern Warfare, a Zombies game mode would be a welcome addition to freshen up the battle royale -- especially if it uses the upcoming subway system properly.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
