Season 3 in Call of Duty: Warzone was a massive update that shifted the world of Verdansk back in time. Many Call of Duty: Warzone fans have encountered an annoying bug since the update was applied. Call of Duty: Warzone's Verdansk '84 is a reimagining of the classic map placed back in time. Reddit user nalb1221 posted their complaint sharing that they continue to have lag and stutter problems despite the update. Call of Duty: Warzone lag is normally a server issue, and the player describes running at doors only to be teleported across the street moments later. The more deadly side effect of this bug is the lag that can occur during a parachute drop resulting in a player impacting the ground rather than deploying the parachute on time. This can become extremely detrimental and the lag has not reduced as far as this fan can tell.

In the comments, the player's complain is echoed several times with many fans reporting freezing and stuttering starting at the season launch. For many fans, the stuttering occurs during Call of Duty: Warzone firefights or intense action sequences. Considering that careful and well-timed responses are crucial to a battle situation, this bug is more than a minor annoyance for many players.

Activision has acknowledged the issue in the past and has even released guides for fixing performance issues. Despite their assistance, many fans still report connection issues within the game, suggesting that the guides have not fixed every problem. Call of Duty: Warzone lag is an expected problem for such a massive game, but players are unsure if they have a solid solution to this ongoing problem.

Basic fixes include resetting routers, checking NAT settings, and ensuring that the connection issue is not on the client-side. Despite this, Call of Duty: Warzone servers are still being blamed for the problem as many fans have noticed a drop in FPS quality since Season 3 launched. With so many diverse systems and reports present, many are believing that it is a server-side issue that the developers need to look into.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
