While the Call of Duty: Warzone community has many issues with the current state of the game, like bugs and cheating, skill-based matchmaking has been another topic of debate. One Call of Duty: Warzone player’s video is likely only going to add to the discussion, as their data makes it seem like content creators have an unfair advantage.

Call of Duty: Warzone fan Quaisy made a Reddit post that dove into a detailed spreadsheet that they had created. While it was unfortunately taken down, as the player broke a subreddit rule by linking their social media accounts, they have since made a video breaking down their discoveries. As Quaisy states at the start of the breakdown, they are not making this video to target or disparage any content creators, as they are a fan of many people mentioned in the video. Instead, Quaisy has conducted this study due to their extreme frustration.

The argument presented in the Call of Duty: Warzone video is essentially that pro players and well-known streamers are being whitelisted, which means that they get special treatment. They will be placed into lobbies with lower K/D ratios than what the average player gets, and skill-based matchmaking will not apply. This bothers Quaisy due to their above average 1.75 K/D, something that sees them being matched up against other skilled players. However, pro players and streamers with 5+ K/D ratios are getting significantly easier lobbies than Quaisy.

The YouTuber JackFrags was one example of this issue, as they found themselves in .56 K/D lobbies consistently. 78% of his lobbies featured a below average K/D, which is a shocking statistic. This is shown through countless other streamers, like TheseKnivesOnly. Despite Zlaner’s 5.9 K/D, he gets easier lobbies, and the same can be said for JGOD. With 64 matches pulled for this spreadsheet, there is a large amount of information to work with. Quaisy also points to FaZe Swagg’s easy game count, which is at 29 compared to the 3 Quaisy has experienced.

Seeing the number of difficult games on Quaisy’s chart is understandably frustrating, especially when some of the very best players are getting to go up against weak opponents. Some video evidence was included as well, with Quaisy showing DiazBiffle fighting an extremely bad player that climbs a ladder mid-fight. Another clip shows JoeWo and his squad trolling in Call of Duty: Warzone, messing around with an enemy that has a .28 K/D. These kinds of players are never seen in Quaisy’s matches.

As for why this is happening, some theorize that developer Raven Software is giving content creators easy lobbies so that they will keep playing the game, as content will be easier to create. This is purely speculation, however, though the data is tough to argue against.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
