Call of Duty: Warzone features a rather unique respawn system when compared to other battle royale games. As long as they die early enough in the match, players are given the opportunity to respawn by winning a 1v1 fight in the Gulag against another fallen player, leading to some rather intense shootouts. However, there are ways players can make the Gulag a little easier to survive, with one method proving to be particularly effective.

Prior to be thrown into an actual Gulag match, Call of Duty: Warzone players are free to run around the prison and watch the action. Most of the time, players just punch each other while waiting for their turn to fight, but there's something much more productive that players can do instead. Call of Duty: Warzone players can actually spray paint their opponents before facing them in the Gulag, highlighting them with bright colors and making them significantly easier to spot.

Of course, players don't know who exactly they will be fighting in the Gulag, so they will have to run around and spray paint as many enemies as possible. In the meantime, the spray painting trick isn't the only method Call of Duty: Warzone players can use to get an advantage over the competition in the Gulag.

When playing in a squad in Call of Duty: Warzone and multiple members of the squad have wound up in the Gulag, teammates can make a huge difference. Teammates can watch the Gulag match and offer advice as to where the enemy is positioned, and they can also throw rocks at enemy players to deal extra damage. Gulag rocks can blow up claymores, mines, and other explosives as well, which can also be very helpful.

Call of Duty: Warzone players have also noted just how effective stun grenades are in the GulagWarzone players hit by a stun grenade will likely be stunned for such a period of time that they will almost always lose, which is part of the reason why some fans have spoken out against stun grenades in the game.

Warzone players can also sharpen their Gulag skills by playing the 2v2 Gunfight mode, which has very similar rules to Gulag. Some practice combined with these tricks should help players win in the Gulag much more than they lose.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
