The big mid-season update for Call of Duty: Warzone is available now, giving fans of the game the chance to dive in to a slew of new content. This includes some new equipment in the form of the Spotter Scope, which can be especially helpful when trying to snipe at enemy players unnoticed. However, some Call of Duty: Warzone players may not know exactly where they need to go to get the Spotter Scope in the game.

Similarly to trophy systems or deployable cover, the Spotter Scope in Call of Duty: Warzone takes up the equipment slot and is found in chests around Verdansk. Once players have the Spotter Scope in their possession, they can use it to spy on enemies from afar without having to worry about the glint that comes with aiming with sniper scopes. The Spotter Scope can also mark enemy players, so it helps out the entire squad.

It will be interesting to see how the Spotter Scope changes up Warzone strategies. While some players may have to sacrifice having a trophy system to do away with unwanted explosives, having a Spotter Scope could give them a big advantage when firing at enemies from afar. It could potentially change up the meta, though perhaps not in the same way that the big Warzone weapon balance changes will.

The new Warzone mid-season update makes some significant changes to some of the most popular weapons in the game. Most notably, the Grau has been nerfed, as has the MP5, meaning some fans of the first-person shooter may want to take a serious look at their loadouts before they jump back into the battle royale.

Weapon balance changes aside, the Spotter Scope should be available in all Warzone game modes, including the newly added 200 player battle royale. For the uninitiated, the latest Warzone update added a 200 player variant of the battle royale mode on top of new items like the Spotter Scope, greatly increasing the player count and offering a slightly different, more chaotic experience.

Moving forward, fans can expect Infinity Ward to continue introducing new kinds of equipment to the Warzone battle royale.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
