Call of Duty: Warzone has added three more weapons to its massive gun lineup as part of Season 4, and two of these unlocks are straightforward. However, while the C58 Assault Rifle end MG82 LMG’s position in the Season 4 battle pass makes them simple enough to get, the Nail Gun’s weapon challenge may seem confusing.

Call of Duty: Warzone players will find that the challenge for the Nail Gun mentions Special Weapons, a description that would make perfect sense in a game like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. However, in Call of Duty: Warzone, Special Weapons do not exist. Instead, the three other Special Weapons are thrown into different categories, forcing gamers to know which is which as they work on this challenge.

What Are The Three Call of Duty: Warzone Special Weapons?

The first special weapon can be found in the melee section, and it is none other than the Ballistic Knife. For those that are really trying to get the challenge done, using this melee weapon as a secondary is a smart move. Unfortunately, players will need to make sure it is in their inventory at all, as a nasty Season 4 update bug has removed the launchable blade from some players’ accounts.

The M79 grenade launcher can be found in the Launchers section, and it is a decent enough option for finishing off injured Call of Duty: Warzone players. For primary weapons, the only choice players have is the R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow. While each arrow hits hard, players must reload after every shot, making it essential that they do not miss their targets. With all the Special Weapons requiring skill to use, completing the Nail Gun’s challenge could prove difficult.

  • M79 (Launcher)
  • R1 Shadow Hunter (Marksman Rifle)

How To Unlock The Nail Gun In Call of Duty: Warzone

To unlock the Nail Gun in Call of Duty: Warzone, gamers will need to get 5 Special Weapon kills in 15 different matches. Furthermore, each match will need to be finished, meaning that gamers need to stay through until their completion. Given how most gamers will be using meta Call of Duty: Warzone loadouts, someone wielding Special Weapons will be at a major disadvantage. With this in mind, those working on the Nail Gun should avoid regular battle royale.

Instead, they should give the Plunder game mode a try. With unlimited respawns, players can get into about a dozen fights every game. With only one kill needed in half of these fights, the Nail Gun challenge should seem a lot more manageable.

If players have a buddy to partner up with, they should do so, as they can soften up targets by removing their armor. Once done, a single Crossbow or Ballistic Knife shot should take down the enemy player. When players have finally finished this time-consuming weapon challenge, they will be able to find the Nail Gun in the SMG category.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
