It was a big week for Call of Duty: Warzone players as the anticipated Season 3 update finally arrived. As expected, the new season known as Classified Arms brought with it a wealth of new content including the rewards earned inside of the new Battle Pass. In addition to the latest operator, Mateo Hernandez, joining the roster, fans also have new multiplayer maps, weapons, as well as bundles to check out.

However, the biggest piece to this season is the inclusion of Godzilla and King Kong, which is set to kick off on May 11. While Activision had been teasing the giant monsters prior to the new season, players will be encountering these two during matches on Caldera. To support their massive arrival, Caldera is also getting some new and revised points of interests including Dig Site, which contains skeletal remains of giant lizards and primates. As exciting as all this may be, Season 3 seems to have a few frustrating issues.

Following the Season 3 update earlier this week, fans have taken to social media to lament the state of the servers, with many stating that they're worse than ever. On the Call of Duty: Warzone subReddit, one user named Salt-Loan1327 started a thread mentioning that the game feels off, almost as if they're experiencing constant lag, even though their ping rate remains stable. It's possible that the most recent update has introduced some unintended issues, as other players have reported similar issues following the arrival of Season 3.

The thread kicked off a swarm of comments with people experiencing similar issues while playing following the new update. One user named oxUbiquiity even indicated that they're experiencing constant packet loss and packet burst, even though they have low ping as well. Another user mentioned they were booted out of a game and then unable to queue for Iron Trials or Battle Royale quads, even though Rebirth Island worked fine. While not everyone is experiencing these issues, there certainly seems to be something going on with the Caldera map.

While connection and lag related issues are typically a high priority to fix for a fast moving shooter like Call of Duty: Warzone, it isn't the only issue currently impacting players. Loadout drops recently experienced some changes to how they function, essentially dropping much earlier in a match than previously. This has left many fans feeling frustrated as the timing has resulted in an uptick of camping, where enemy players hide nearby waiting to ambush those going for the loot.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
