More so than any other battle royale on the market, Call of Duty: Warzone goes out of its way to get fallen players back in the action. One way it accomplishes this is through the self-revive system, where Call of Duty: Warzone players are able to purchase a self-revive kit from the store and use it to revive themselves. However, Call of Duty: Warzone's self-revive feature has its critics, including popular Twitch streamer Dr DisRespect.

Dr DisRespect spoke out about the Call of Duty: Warzone self-revive feature in a recent stream. The discussion started when a fan asked Doc if he thought that Call of Duty: Warzone had SBMM (skill-based matchmaking), and he explained that he couldn't tell due to "what people can get away with in the game," referencing RPGs, vehicles, and the self-revive feature. Doc then followed that up, saying that there are times in Call of Duty: Warzone that can "screw up fights" and be "so stupid."

The popular Twitch streamer then elaborated on why self-revive can ruin some fights in the game, explaining that it takes too long to kill a downed player, but that they have to be focused since they likely have a self-revive. "And then have his teammate come around the corner while you're putting a full clip on the downed guy because you know he has self-revive and if you don't do anything about it, he's just going to get right back up."

Dr DisRespect also offered a couple of solutions to the self-revive problem, one being that audio be added to indicate when a player is using self-revive. That way Warzone players will know whether they need to focus on the downed enemy or not. The other suggestion from Dr DisRespect is to make it so downed players can be killed in one shot. These are two potential solutions to the self-revive problem, though it's unclear if Infinity Ward will actually be making any changes to the Warzone self-revive feature.

While Dr DisRespect did criticize the Warzone self-revive feature, he also acknowledged that there are times when it can be good, namely when a player is shot and downed from across the map.

There are definitely pros and cons to Warzone's self-revive feature, but as previously stated, it's unclear if Infinity Ward will bother making any changes to it. However, something that Infinity Ward will almost certainly be addressing in the near future is the current Warzone self-revive bug that is making it so some solo players are unable to use the feature at all. Fans will need to stay tuned for more details as to when that bug will be fixed in Warzone.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
