Before being confirmed in the Season 6 trailer, rumors had been spreading of a metro system coming to Call of Duty: Warzone. The idea is that an underground subway would connect several key points throughout the city, and an automated train would provide transportation to each place. Although Warzone already has an above-ground train system, the player base always has room for more transportation options in their battle royale future.

Warzone's Season 6 trailer confirmed the addition the Subway in Verdansk, along with a ton more information. Now, new details are steadily becoming available, with the official Call of Duty Twitter posting teasers and images regarding the new subway.

The most recent Tweet shows a fold-out map of the Verdansk metro station. Fans noticed several interesting details on the new image, including the year mark of 2020, six Subway locations rather than the rumored five, and multiple stops scattered across the city. Although the official building has not been opened, many fans have found metro access hubs scattered across the city as early as the CDL's last major event. There appear to be multiple trains running each direction giving a constant state of motion to the in-game system. Although it is unknown how fast these trains will move, many fans hope that they will be substantially faster than the current train in Warzone.

Each of the platforms will be divided into two halves with each half dedicated to a different metro line. Possible loot options on the platforms include the employee break areas, equipment closets, and other minor rooms located near the varying Verdansk escape ladders on each platform.

One interesting revelation is the fact that the Season 6 subway trains will not deploy to stations that are under the effects of the circle. This prevents squads from getting on board only to meet an untimely death due to the circle closing. Keep in mind that the trains also do not function while there is fighting on board. Based on the Call of Duty Blog's description of the transport, the trains will simply stop working if there is any conflict on board during transport.

The developers expect players to take advantage of the many ambush opportunities that the train allows for. Players who prefer ambush and trap based combat may find that the Verdansk Metro is the perfect time to test all their ambush-style plans. With the trains being the fastest transport as of Warzone Season 6 on the map, players are still left blind as to what may be on the next stop.
