The official trailer for Warzone Season 5 dropped today, and it's promising to bring a lot of cool new content to the game. On top of that, the trailer shows some quality of life improvements that fans of the game have long been clamoring for. Chief among these, in Season 5, players will have a much easier time ascending to the top of buildings.

One of the things that makes Warzone so fun is the verticality of the map. Threats are coming from all angles, and players always have to be aware of what's both above and below them. And while parachuting off the top of a high building into a firefight is dynamic and fun, climbing back up that building can feel like an absolute slog.

The trailer for Season 5 shows that some tall buildings will have some sort of crane like contraptions on top of them, with a rope that leads to the ground. Players will able be able to press a button to ascend the rope quickly, in the same way that they can already do in some elevator shafts. This will cut the time it takes to get to the top of some buildings to mere seconds, making it much easier to deal with any pesky snipers up top.

This change will be punishing to players who like to camp on top of buildings. Rooftops have long been a favorite location for campers, as they are hard to get to, normally only have one or two entrances, and give campers a huge range of vision. While camping is a valid strategy, it can be very frustrating to spend time climbing to the top of a building, only to get shot as soon as one reaches the top.

Of course, campers will be able to keep their eyes on the cranes, and the smarter ones will probably set up claymores next to it. But still, one more point of attack will make it harder to defend a roof. And the speed at which players can ascend should throw anyone up top off balance.

Overall, this new feature seems like a fantastic addition to Warzone. While there will always be moments of down time in a battle royale game, slowly climbing 10 sets of stairs has always been a pace killer. This change should help to facilitate the fast paced action that has made Warzone into the juggernaut that it is today.
