With Call of Duty: Warzone fans deep in Season 1 content, players are experiencing one of the biggest updates ever. Alongside new weapons, a brand new map, and other content, comes new camo designs. Although Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 has so far been well received, the camos have sparked a different opinion among the game's community.

The Diamond camo is one of the most iconic camos from the Call of Duty franchise. Each game reimagines the camos, and after the unique look that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold showed players, they expected that Warzone would have something stylish to award players. Unfortunately, the camo design that the developers have added is not up to community expectations.

The main complaint from the Call of Duty: Warzone community is the fact that the diamonds do not appear to be diamonds at all. They lack shine, texture, and definition, giving them a very dull look compared to other skins. Players have taken to social media to share their frustration with the new Diamond camo design. To earn Diamond camos is a difficult challenge, but to have it look so dull in comparison to the previous version is almost insulting to some fans.

Players are accusing Call of Duty: Warzone of disrespecting players by having such a mundane version of the prestigious skin. Many fans have argued that the skin is unimaginative, lazy, and looks horrendous on multiple weapons. The general feeling from those speaking up in the game's community is "disappointment." To see other diamond camos that look clean, shiny, and carefully created only stresses the problems that Call of Duty: Warzone's skins have.

This is a purely cosmetic frustration, as the camo has very little effect on the game itself. Call of Duty: Warzone fans have tons of camo options available, so many are not stuck looking at the Diamond camo if they do not want to. Still, the amount of work and effort that goes into earning it makes it a rather disappointing reward.

For many fans, the Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War integration has had unexpected side effects. From weapon balancing being questionable to new glitches appearing, this frustrating skin situation may be the boiling point for many members of the community. As Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans continue to struggle with disappearing content, it seems that even Warzone will not be a safe haven for the Call of Duty community.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
