Players are now midway through Season 4, a fact made abundantly clear by Activision earlier this week when it announced the Reloaded update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The large update added tons of new content into the game including a 200 player Warzone mode, the Cheshire Park map for multiplayer, as well as a host of new improvements and bug fixes. Reloaded also brought with it a highly anticipated new weapon for fans of Sniper Rifles.

The sniper rifle known as the Rytec AMR arrived earlier this week in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reloaded update. Unlike other weapons of its class, the Rytec is classified as an anti-material weapon, which means it's also particularly strong against vehicles and killstreaks. However, fans have begun to realize that this weapon is starting to become a bit too good when certain attachments are applied to it.

Over on Reddit, new posts have started to pop up with videos of players showcasing the weapon when explosive rounds are enabled. One video shows the player taking out a Warzone helicopter in basically 5 hits and an ATV in 3. Later in the clip, the explosive splash damage manages to take out players hiding in a house and attempting to run to a ATV.

Another video shows the explosive splash damage downing an entire squad in just a few shots.

While the explosive ammo makes this weapon seem game breaking, fans have noted that its a weapon that comes with more than a few drawbacks which make it less than viable in normal PvP multiplayer. The biggest thing is that this is a sniper rifle that isn't able to one shot players who have full armor even after being hit in the head. In addition, the bullet velocity and time to aim down the sight are slower than other guns in the class as well. While its a solid choice for modes like Warzone, it'll be interesting how this gun ultimately fits in the meta which is currently dominated by the HDR and AX-50.

While the update has been largely welcomed by the community, besides the continued hefty hard drive demands, some players have noticed that two of the promised game modes are still nowhere to be seen. Gunfight Tournaments was expected to be readied alongside the midseason update, but isn't yet available. The other missing mode is Juggernaut Royale, a mode that airdrops juggernaut killstreaks during a Warzone match, and continues to get passed around as each one is taken out. Infinity Ward has yet to mention when these modes are coming, leaving fans to simply wait.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
