Call of Duty: Warzone players have always been vocal regarding any problems they have with the battle royale game, and that has not changed regarding some issues had with a Roze skin. According to players, the skin is pay-to-win, and some have called for the outfit to be removed from Call of Duty: Warzone entirely.

The issue in question sees Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 Operator Roze being far too hard to see when wearing her “Rook” outfit. The costume is entirely black, and with the character’s signature mask equipped, not one bit of skin is showing anywhere on her design. While this makes for a stylish alternate look for Roze, the downside of the design is that it is a bit too advantageous inside Call of Duty: Warzone matches.

While players love Roze’s default outfit and the reference to the movie Aliens inscribed on the helmet, this alternate skin has drawn ire from many in the Call of Duty: Warzone community. By being entirely black with no distinguishable details, Roze perfectly blends into the shadowy corners of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. As shown by Redditor Myb4d, the problems with the skin are very real, as the Reddit user takes out an entire enemy group by simply hiding in the corner.

Several times during the video, the enemies stare directly at Myb4d, failing to see him in the corner due to how dark his Roze skin is. With one player even running up to Myb4d and failing to see him despite making contact, the problem with the skin is clearly illustrated in the clip. In response, Redditors like Bubbachub25 and caribou_drew called for the skin to be taken out of the game. While some fans of Roze would be disappointed by an outright removal of the skin, there is certainly a case to be made regarding its unfairness.

With the skin issue being in the game since Season 5 but gaining new levels of notoriety due to a recent Twitch Rivals tournament, hopefully a fix is delivered soon. With the Gallantry MAC-10 nerfed recently after complaints that the blueprint was pay-to-win, perhaps something will be done to make the Roze skin more detectable. Redditor Pineapplefree comments with the suggestion to “add some kind of colored accessory to her” to make her stand out in the shadows, a move that would likely fix the issue without the skin needing to be taken out of the game.

While fans have suggested some major Call of Duty: Warzone changes recently, a fix for this skin seems to be nearing the top of the list. Until Raven Software makes a change, though, players may want to look extra closely at the dark corners of Call of Duty: Warzone’s maps.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
