The zombie pandemic has a new evolution as Call of Duty: Warzone fans are being converted. While this was common during the Halloween event, it is a new evolution in the battle royale pandemic. Call of Duty: Warzone fans are being advised to watch their backs as their allies may be rising from the dead.

Zombies can often be dangerous in large numbers, and the horde has found a new way to grow. Call of Duty: Warzone zombies have been spreading along with the map, but high contamination zones have an unexpected side effect on the dead. Players who die within certain locations are being converted, and their rush for vengeance is stronger than the standard undead threat.

Noticed by Jackfrags, players who are in team-based game modes are being given an additional chance at life within Call of Duty: Warzone. While the Gulag serves as the first line of resurrection, the undead plague seems to be granting players an additional opportunity. Players who land at the Ship Wreck or Prison within Verdansk can be turned into Zombies. This offers the same opportunities that were available during the Halloween event as players rush forward with claws and teeth as their primary weapons. While this does seem to be a major escalation in the zombie epidemic, Call of Duty: Warzone fans are well geared to handle most threats despite the situation.

This is a major upgrade to the original infection that fans saw spreading throughout the map. While Call of Duty: Warzone's Verdansk is not overrun yet, fans are expecting this to escalate further as time draws on. Eventually, the in-game government may have no other choice than to launch a nuclear deterrent.

The Call of Duty: Warzone nuke event has been long theorized and discussed by the game's community. Fans are preparing for any eventuality, and many are hunting through the various bunkers in search of any clues to the future. Call of Duty: Warzone is planned to evolve from the explosion, but it is still unknown exactly what will happen after the bombs drop.

Until then, fans are advised to be on high alert as undead threats may be expanding outside of the known contamination zones. Call of Duty: Warzone zombies have a high damage attack, but they are low on HP and can be gunned down relatively easily. Players should be careful as the unexpected undead rush could cost many would-be winners their chance at a victory royale.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
