Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone might not have to wait long for a favorite game mode to make a return. Dataminers have found many references in the game’s files to Prop Hunt. Rumors have been going around for a while, and it seems like the game contains even more Prop Hunt files now than ever before. With all of the current Warzone datamining and leaks, this is one that seems like it could be true.

Prop Hunt is a game mode that has appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and Call of Duty: WWII. In this mode, one team is given 30 seconds to hide around the map while the other team waits. The players hiding can switch between different objects, from a car tire to an air conditioner. Once the round begins, the opposing team must find and shoot all of the prop players before time runs out. To help the seekers, the props automatically whistle every 20 seconds. This gives an audio cue and some semblance of a direction to start searching. Since the props can move during the game, many matches can end with several people chasing a dumpster down a street as the clock ticks out.

Props can change in the middle of the match and also leave decoys behind, leading to a lot of players chasing fire extinguishers into a room, only to find an abundance of chairs. Due to the hide and seek aspect, it would be difficult to play across the entire Warzone map. Unless players are restricted to large objects only, or the map is sectioned into a smaller piece, it would be nearly impossible to find everyone in the game.

This isn’t the only feature that eagle-eyed fans are waiting on. The possibility of adding zombies to the game has been discussed a lot lately due to some in-game documents being spotted. Players found a document with a Spaceland title as well as a picture of an astronaut zombie, linking to the Infinite Warfare zombie map. With the success of Warzone, it is hard to imagine what won’t end up in the game at some point.

Until any confirmation is given, this is only rumors and wishful thinking. For now, players have plenty else to keep them occupied with the recent Season 4 update to the game.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
