While nearly every weapon addition made to Call of Duty: Warzone over the last several months has been from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the latest gun to appear in the game is a bit different. Call of Duty: Warzone has received a new weapon from 2019’s reboot of Modern Warfare, and FaZe Swagg has prepared a loadout for gamers to try.
Like the Sykov pistol, fans have been waiting for the leaked CX-9 SMG to make its way to to the game for several months. While it has been some time since there were murmurs of the gun being added, Raven Software recently teased fans that a special weapon was incoming. That weapon has arrived, and while it might not be as deadly as the Sykov was when it was first added, FaZe Swagg believes that the CX-9 is still “crazy” and can dominate when it is in the right hands.
One thing helping this new gun is Call of Duty: Warzone’s recent SMG buff. The changes see the weapons performing better at mid-range, dealing Assault Rifle-like damage. This means that they are perfect up close and from a short distance, leaving players free to use an LMG or Sniper Rifle in their other slot. FaZe Swagg leans into this range and accuracy by transforming the gun into a burst fire weapon.
To use this burst version of the CX-9, Call of Duty: Warzone players will need to equip the following attachments. First, they should use the CX-38S Barrel, as it provides a massive number of benefits for a single attachment. The G.I. Mini Reflex is a fine choice for an Optic, as the gun will primarily be used from up close. The Commando Foregrip Underbarrel is a good choice for this slot, as it provides an accuracy boost, while FaZe Swagg uses a perk in another slot. The perk in question is Sleight of Hand, and it is a necessity due to the final attachment the pro player has equipped.
FaZe Swagg’s loadout is high risk, high reward, as the build doubles down on the Ammunition-related attachment. The 9mm Hollow Point 12-R mags are wielded by the pro, and they come with a major positive and negative. On the beneficial side, the gun can kill in one burst, with only a few bursts required to take down fully armored foes. However, the big downside is that each clip only provides 12 rounds. With this in mind, players will need to hit their shots and only pull the gun out when they know they can kill with it.

With a new Machine Pistol coming in Season 5, and the CX-9 clearly having some potential, the meta may soon change in a big way. As such, players may want to get some practice in with this new SMG.
