Following a slew of leaks, rumors, and speculation, Activision has finally officially revealed Call of Duty: Warzone, a "new combat experience" that is free-to-play and can support up to 150 players. As many fans have been expecting, Warzone contains a Battle Royale game mode, but it will also support a unique format in Plunder, which will task players with securing as much in-game Cash as they possibly can.

Call of Duty: Warzone's Plunder game mode will launch alongside Battle Royale on Tuesday, March 10, and it will group players into teams of three. As previously mentioned, these teams will be working to collect Cash, which can be found across Warzone's map, can be stolen by killing opponents, and can be earned by completing in-game contracts, and the squad that secures the most Cash after 30 minutes wins.

There are two options for securing Cash in the Plunder game mode, the first of which requires players to interact with one of the helicopter pads that are found across Call of Duty: Warzone's map. While this method will allow players to deposit as much Cash as they want, the helicopter will not arrive instantly upon interacting with a pad, leaving players and their cash vulnerable while they wait for it to come.

The other option is to use a Deposit Balloon, which can be purchased with Cash from a designated Buy Station. In some instance, this may prove to be the safer option for securing Cash, but indeed it is not without its limitations. Specifically, Deposit Balloons can only be used to bank a maximum of $150,000 at a time, and that may not be sufficient in absolutely every case.

It is also worth mentioning that if a team reaches $1 million Cash secured in Plunder, an overtime phase is initiated. With this in effect, the amount of Cash that teams will find is doubled, increasing the intensity of the collecting frenzy even further. That said, the goal remains the same, as Call of Duty: Warzone players will still be working to have the most Cash secured when the match comes to an end.

Furthermore, respawns are fully enabled in Plunder and players can use their own created loadouts in this game mode. These aspects distinguish Plunder even further from Call of Duty: Warzone's Battle Royale offering, and teams will need to adjust their strategies accordingly if they hope to succeed in this Cash-focused game mode.

Call of Duty: Warzone launches on March 10 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
