While Call of Duty: Warzone remains an incredibly popular battle royale game, it has experienced plenty of ups and downs since it launched early in 2020. While the experience has seen it's fair share of bugs and glitches, Warzone experienced a major hiccup during the integration phase moving from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to Black Ops Cold War. Worse yet, the game has been plagued by all sorts of hackers and cheaters, something which has been a continued thorn in the side of the community.

However, cheating is an issue that both Activision and Raven are hoping to remedy with the new anti-cheat system called Ricochet. Alongside the new anti-cheat software, Raven has continued to release updates and fixes for Call of Duty: Warzone in an attempt to constantly improve the overall experience. Unfortunately, things have continued to spiral with the game, even causing longtime players like Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff to leave the game for competitors like Apex Legends.

However, things between Call of Duty: Warzone and its community continue to appear to be fractured with many now calling Season 6 unplayable. Things kicked off from a Reddit post by 0verLoaded asking whether or not casual players have stopped playing. The main reason is that 0verLoaded is someone who only plays a few hours a week and has spent zero money on the title which seems to now put them at a massive disadvantage to those who play constantly with high skill and have purchased a lot of the content on offer including special bundles and weapon blueprints.

Others also commented that the game is starting to not be as enjoyable when players with significantly less hours on the game are matched up with those who play consistently and have all the best stuff. Others lamented the lack of interesting updates in recent months, the continued Warzone cheating issues, and the skill based matchmaking, while a user in Europe seemed to indicate that now lockdown was over, people were going out more often rather than staying in to play.

The recent bugs and cheating are not only pushing the more casual players away from the experience but it's also seemingly leaving a toll on the higher profile players like Dr. Disrespect. The popular streamer and content creator recently went off on the online game first over the amount of aim assist in the title, leading him to not only go on a rant but damaing part of his setup as well. Just days later, Disrespect ultimately uninstalled the game after being harrassed by stream snipers, using his screen to hunt him down in game and ruin his experience.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
