Call of Duty: Warzone brought about it's highly anticipated Pacific update late in 2021. With a brand new map entitled Caldera, and a tie in with Call of Duty: Vanguard, fans were expecting much from this update, and yet following bugs, glitches, underpowered and overpowered weapons, many Call of Duty players are becoming disappointed with Call of Duty: Warzone's latest content drop, with some even calling for a sequel to Call of Duty: Warzone.

As a highly competitive, online multiplayer battle royale, Call of Duty: Warzone and developer Raven are constantly receiving requests from fans for fixes, buffs, nerfs and overhauls to make the game fairer. While many of these changes have been made, such as a recently confirmed upcoming nerf to the controversial double-barrelled shotgun, there are still some things players believe must be changed. Call of Duty: Warzone is a game with a constantly evolving meta, yet as some guns are found to be the newest stars of a patch, other guns or pieces of equipment are left behind, leading players to request buffs.

It is the equipment a player brings alongside their primary and secondary firearms that has one Call of Duty: Warzone fan asking for buffs, especially in regards to the smoke grenade. Posting their opinion to Reddit, user u/Equivalent_Minimum94 described how the current version of the smoke grenade in Call of Duty: Warzone gives no tactical advantage as when detonated, the area it covers in smoke is far too small. The player goes on to suggest a buff which would give the smoke grenade a longer duration and a much larger radius.

Commenters on the post largely agreed with the player, with one commenter writing that they'd like to see a smoke grenade kill streak available, which would allow for more defensive and tactical gameplay. Players were also recommending other equipment which could do with a buff in the comments, with one player specifically highlighting gas grenades, and another player said Raven "need to buff every non-stun tactical" piece of equipment. Call of Duty: Warzone at the moment has other problems besides underpowered grenades though. The Caldera map has received criticism, even from Call of Duty personalities like Dr Disrespect, who said that the developers should just abandon the new map.

Incuding calls for buffs, nerfs, and for changes the Caldera map, Call of Duty: Warzone is also suffering from some weightier problems, including bugs and cheating. After a recent update, cheating in the battle royale was on the rise, and currently a "demon" texture glitch is causing houses to transform. Certainly, there's many changes that need to be made before players are content with the game once more.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
