Call of Duty: Warzone fans that have been playing the game for nearly a year have found many different strategies, but it seems like there are still more that can be discovered. One Call of Duty: Warzone player has shared a new strategy to get rid of campers, and fans may want to make use of it going forward.
While Call of Duty: Warzone cheaters and exploiters have been a more prevalent issue in recent months, there is nothing worse than a camper when the game is working as intended. While it is a “fair” strategy, there is no better way to draw ire from opponents than sitting in the same spot for the duration of the match. Unfortunately, Call of Duty: Warzone features several camper-friendly positions, from the city rooftops to the fire towers.
The new, anti-camper strategy involves one of the fire towers scattered throughout the Verdansk map. While players will have to devise strategies to deal with campers inside the other fire stations, the one in the northernmost part of Verdansk can be take care of with the parachute strategy. After climbing a mountain, players will reach a small cul-de-sac with a few houses and buildings. Resting at an angle above the fire station, Redditor Wazzaaa777 used this high ground advantage to reach a fire tower camper below.
Climbing onto the roof of the small house that has a buy station in front of it, the Redditor has just enough height to reach the fire tower. Using the overhang and peak of the roof to their advantage, Wazzaaa777 leaps off, heading in the direction of the firehouse. Facing away from the house itself and going at the quickest speed they possibly can, the video poster lands on the outside of the tower. Climbing in, Wazzaaa777 guns down the tower camper with a MAC-10 SMG.
Considering that the player’s teammates had been killed off by this same camper, it is great to see karma delivered — and players have been given a new strategy out of the popular Reddit clip. Small touches, like Wazzaaa777’s giggle and the enemy being none the wiser, only add to the impressive kill. With other tricks recently shared that allow players to push Quarry campers, it seems like the Call of Duty: Warzone community is coming together to make things harder for these types of players.
Still, positions like the fire tower and quarry may soon become invaluable to all Call of Duty: Warzone fans, regardless of whether the approve or disapprove of camping. With a new Zombies game mode possibly coming to the battle royale game soon, there will be few better places to hold out against the undead.
