Call of Duty: Warzone bugs have come in all different forms, ranging from absurd vehicle heath to floating heads. Now, the latest Call of Duty: Warzone bug is impacting parachutes and gliding.

A recent Call of Duty: Warzone patch saw Raven Software making significant adjustments to parachute speeds, which is where the bug comes into play. Gliding and parachuting were reworked once Season 2 dropped, with the main goal of making Operators move slower. While fans have debated over this change, it comes down to personal preference whether it is an improvement or a misstep. Regardless of how players feel about slower gliding, though, the new system is clearly not working as intended.

While every Operator in Call of Duty: Warzone should have the same movement speed when parachuting, this is not actually the case. For whatever reason, a glitch is causing several skins from the Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War eras to move with the original parachute speed of 6.6 as opposed to the updated speed of 10.4. This means that players have a major advantage when using characters like Weaver, Wraith, and Roze, though thankfully Raven Software is aware that this problem exists.

A Tweet from the developer confirms that the issue is being added to the Raven Software Trello board, a page that allows the studio to regularly update players on what bugs are being investigated. If gamers visit the Trello board, they will be able to see where in the investigation process Raven is and whether a fix has been lined up for a future patch. Currently, no fix has been confirmed and there is no ETA on when one will arrive, as the Trello card still says that Raven is still looking into the quicker traversal speeds.

While Call of Duty: Warzone players aware of the issue could avoid these Operators so that they do not have an unfair advantage, many will likely exploit the issue. While being able to glide quicker may not seem like a big deal, it is actually hugely important in a battle royale game. Players will be able to hit the ground first, meaning they can secure weapons and armors quicker. They can grab a gun and shoot at the players landing slowly, giving those without the boosted parachute speed no chance to fight back. As such, players may be forced to use Operators they do not want to play just so that they can keep up.

Hopefully, this issue will be fixed sooner rather than later, though it is hardly the only thing Raven Software must work on. With even bigger problems like the Arsenal wall glitch to fix, and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 being in development, the studio surely has its hands full.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
